I am a Board Certified Educational Therapist who has enjoyed working with children of all ages and abilities in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years. Every challenge is viewed as an opportunity rather than an obstacle, with the belief that all children possess the desire, ability, and will to learn. Collaborating closely with children and families to “demystify” learning challenges and identify personal strengths is a central focus. Few moments are more rewarding than hearing a student say, “I didn’t think I could do this, but now I know I can.”
My expertise lies in teaching students with a variety of learning and attention challenges, including: Dyslexia, Auditory and Visual Processing Disorders, Dysgraphia, and Executive Functioning deficits, with a specialty in ADHD. Teaching philosophy is grounded in connection, transparency, and empowerment, fostering self-awareness and independence in learners. Recently, I earned a Certificate in Art Therapy, which enables the integration of various art-making and therapeutic art techniques into the educational therapy sessions, thereby enriching the educational experience and supporting emotional growth in conjunction with academic progress.
"I can't begin to convey how grateful we are for your care and expertise over the past 2 and a half years. Your work and YOU made a big difference for J and for our family. Thank you."
